Safety Lock™ Eartip Adapters
Prevents accidental injury to the ear canal from loose eartips coming off during your practice.
Our patented SafetyLock eartip adapters lead the industry in user safety by creating a larger surface area on which the eartip sits. Most stethoscopes just have a 3mm gauge headset where the eartip sits. If the eartip comes off this can easily puncture your inner ear. The MDF® SafetyLock™ system rests on a 5mm gauge headset and provides ample surface area to prevent this.

Many stethoscopes use 3mm thick aluminum tubing which tends to kink and even break. Our 5mm stainless steel tubing is much more durable and nearly impossible to even bend under normal conditions.

Our flexible, latex-free tubing is thicker and longer to block out environmental sounds and provide a safer distance between you and your patient. The patented Acoustic Pyramid Chamber™ is located in the acoustic tubing below the spring to keep the tubing channel open for maximum sound transmission to the headset.
The number one purpose of a stethoscope is sound transmission. Many stethoscopes use less dense and weaker tubing which also tends to kink where the tube meets the headset. Always make sure your stethoscope is designed for optimal sound quality.
